Alcoa Aluminum, ca. 1929
A rare old bass made by Alcoa Aluminum ca. 1929. A 3/4 sized instrument that is made entirely of aluminum, with ebony fingerboard, original German tuning machines, and all original faux woodgrain paint! It is estimated that only about 500 of these basses were manufactured betweem 1929-1934, and the low serial numbers on this indicate that it may have been made during the first year of production. These basses don't come on the market very often, so if you've been waiting for one to pop up, don't miss this one! Consignment.
