A grand old bass made in Germany ca. 1870. This beauty features a spruce top paired with a nicely flamed maple round back, flamed maple ribs, and flamed maple neck. It carries ebony fittings, a maple adjustable bridge, and the original tuning machines. This is a special bass was played professionally for several decades in different orchestras around the US. It has that cushion and power that we're all looking for, with notes that pop out effortlessly -- it's like dark chocolate!
