A beautiful Saxon lion's head bass made ca. 19th century. Spruce top with uniquely carved f-holes, maple round back, maple ribs, and maple scroll, ebony fittings and a chromatic C-extension. This bass has a round, open, and warm sound that would make an excellent orchestral or jazz instrument. Consignment.
