    François Lotte (1889-1970) was born in Mirecourt and began his apprenticeship with CN Bazin, where he worked until 1921, and from 1922-1925 was listed as a worker in the Huniot-Cury workshop. In 1926, François opened his own shop, where he eventually employed René Bernard, Marcel Lapierre, Marcel Mangenot, and his son Roger Lotte, who became his assistant in 1940. 

     

    This particular bow features a round pernambuco stick paired with an ivory tip plate,  nickel winding, and lizard skin grip. The frog is ebony mounted in silver, with pearl slide, Parisian eyes, and nickel/ebony button.
