A German bow stamped G.A. PFRETZSCHNER from the collection of legendary performer and composer, Bertram Turetzky. It features a round pernambuco stick, paired with a bone tip plate, silver winding, and black leather grip. The frog is ebony mounted in silver, with pearl slide and ebony button. The G.A. Pfretzschner firm was a Markneukirchen firm that sourced instruments from makers all over Germany, many of which were purchased from the makers unstamped or unlabeled, and for distribution purposes, they were branded G.A. Pfretzschner. This is a very well made bow that plays exceptionally well. 142g
