German, 1963
A carved 3/4 size bass crafted in Germany in 1963, likely by the Hofner firm. This very clean example features a spruce top paired with a maple round back, maple ribs, and a beech neck/scroll. It carries the original ebony fittings, a maple adjustable bridge, and the original tuning machines. This bass just came out of a time capsule - amazingly clean for its age, and sounds great!
