A grand old German 7/8 made in the mid-19th century. This beauty was crafted with a medium grain spruce top, birdseye maple flatback and ribs, and carries a flamed maple neck with brass Baker style tuning machines. A top-off restoration was completed, and recent set-up work includes a new ebony fingerboard and maple adjustable bridge. This is a lovely bass that has a HUGE sound - it could be a terrific section instrument, or could drive your jazz ensemble... ready to gig tonight!!
