A gorgeous German bass bow made ca. 1940s by the celebrated HR Pfretzschner family. Excellent straight grain pernambuco, with bone tip, ebony frog mounted in silver, pearl eyes, pearl slide, and ebony button. This bow is stamped HR Pfretzschner above the frog and displays a clear Saxon 'Coat of Arms' brand on the frog. In excellent condition after recent restoration work, this bow is articulate, powerful, and loud.
