A stunning modern gold mounted H.R. Pfretzschner made ca. 1990, which features an octagonal pernambuco stick, ivory tip plate, and black leather grip. The frog is ebony mounted in gold, with a pearl slide and an ebony button with gold collar. This bow is stamped H.R. PFRETZSCHNER above the frog and also carries the traditional Saxon Coat of Arms brand on the side of the frog. Gold mounting is not only prized as a precious metal, it is traditionally reserved by makers for the very finest pernambuco blanks. This bow is stable, pulls effortlessly from frog to tip, and bounces beautifully! 135g.
