A 7/8 size bass made by the Thibouville-Lamy firm ca. 1890. Fully carved with spruce top, maple flatback, ribs, and neck/scroll. Originally a 3-string bass, later converted to 4-string with added 4th tuner. This bass has been refinished, but is in excellent condition. It has a big, open sound that would perfect for the orchestral or jazz bassist - if you're a do-it-all musician looking for a monster of a bass, then you owe it to yourself to check this one out! These French basses are a tremendous value and make excellent professional instruments.
