A 1938 Kay Orchestra model that features laminate construction with spruce top veneer, and faux-flamed maple back/side veneer. The neck is maple, and the bass carries original finish, original fittings, and original Czech hatpeg tuning machines. A total set-up was completed here at BVS, including a fingerboard dressing, new adjustable bridge, new tailgut, and new strings. Includes a cover and stand. The first several years of Kay production are incredibly diverse and we see lots of variations as they worked to establish their line-up and formula.
