A remarkably clean Kay S-9, made in Chicago, IL in 1948. At the pinnacle of Kay's double bass lineup, this blonde model featured a laminate spruce top with laminate flamed maple back and ribs, in addition to real purfling inlaid around the perimeter of the body and f-holes, ebony fittings, and chrome-plated Kluson tuning machines. This particular example is in excellent condition with no neck damage, and a fresh BVS adjustable bridge and fingerboard dressing. Available for trial!
