  • Charles Louis Bazin (Louis Bazin, 1881-1953) begain his apprenticeship with his father (Charles nicholas Bazin) at the age of 12 and took over the family Mirecourt workshop in 1907. Here he worked until retirement in 1952, when his son, Charles Alfred Bazin took over the family workshop. Louis Bazin bows have a reputation for being precisely made and for having excellent playing characteristics.

     

    This bow features a round, straight-grain pernambuco stick with ivory tip plate, silver winding and black leather grip. The frog is ebony fully mounted in nickel silver, with pearl eyes, pearl slide, and nickel silver/ebony button. This is a shorter and lighter bow that pulls an immediate sound and bounces nicely! 124g.
