Mitch Moehring #5, 2020 made in Kilgore, TX. This is his 3/4 “Lola” model, an outline based on a beautiful Italian bass by Alvisio Piatellini. It features a spruce top, American walnut flatback and ribs, and a removable maple neck/scroll. It carries ebony fittings, a maple adjustable bridge, a chromatic C-extension, a custom Ultra Stealth tailpiece, and Rubner tuning machines. A comfortable and powerful bass that would be excellent in a variety of settings!
The ergonomics and proportions of this bass make it extremely comfortable to navigate in both the lower and upper registers. It's powerful and responsive, and we think that this bass would be a spectacular instrument for whatever style(s) of music that you play — orchestral, jazz, or solo!
