Mitch Moehring, 2024
We have been eagerly awaiting the latest build from Mitch Moehring, and boy was it worth the wait!
This bass was finished in 2024 and is a copy of a John Lott Sr., made in 1835. It features a North American white pine top sourced from Michigan, a flatback and ribs made from American sycamore sourced from Ohio, and a european maple neck. The set-up features a Gaiatone fingerboard, ebony tailpiece, and Rubner tuning machines. Other unique features to note include a removable neck, responsive back bracing, and ribs laminated with an inner layer of Kevlar reinforcement!
This is the second bass that we have sold by Mitch and we love the creative ideas that he incorporates into his builds. On top of that, the bass sounds terrific with a big, warm sound that pops out under the bow!
