A laminate mid-century 3/4, made in Germany by Original Hopf. These Besses were likely manufactured by or in association with the Framus Co. This "cutaway" model features all laminate construction with exterior maple veneer, black edge binding, ebony fittings, and the original single plate tuning machines. These basses give a super cool vintage vibe and don't pop up very often!
