Roy Quade, 2006
A French bass bow crafted in Calgary, Canada by award-winning maker, Roy Quade in 2006. This beautifully made bow features a round pernambuco stick paired with a bone tip plate, silver winding, and brown leather grip. The frog is ebony fully mounted in silver, with pearl eyes, pearl slide, and silver/ebony octagonal button. An extremely well-cared for bow that has won auditions for and played in two major North American orchestras. A lovely stick that does it all!
In addition to being a four-time gold medal recipient from the Violin Society of America with the Hors Concours honour for sustained achievement, he has also been awarded a silver medal by the British Violin Making Association, and has received fifteen merit awards at competitions in the United States and Great Britain.
