A rare opportunity to own a bass by Vilho Arvi (father of contemporary bass maker, Kai Arvi)! This bass is number 197, made in USA, 1971. The form is 7/8 size with straight grain spruce top, tightly flamed maple roundback, sides, and scroll. Recent BVS top-off restoration, including replacement of all previous top repairs, edge doubling, FB dressing, and set-up. This bass sounds fantastic and would make an excellent instrument for any professional player or auditioning pre-professional! Consignment.String length: 41.5″
