Pfretzschner Aluminum, c.1930
An increasingly rare aluminum instrument manufactured in Germany by the Pfretzschner shop c.1930. This bass features an aluminum body with wooden internal components (bass bar, corner blocks, neck block, and end block), as well as a traditional German neck. So despite the aluminum shell, these basses often sound more authentic than their American counterparts manufactured by Alcoa during the same time period. A very cool bass that will be sure to garner attention wherever you go!
